Candidate for Atlanta City Council President

The Georgia Men For Democracy Now Political Action Committee proudly endorses Atlanta City Councilmember Marci Collier Overstreet for Atlanta City Council President in 2025.

Councilmember Overstreet currently represents the citizens of District 11 on the Atlanta City Council, serving the Legacy Southwest Atlanta community where she spent her formative teenage years, married and raised her family. Councilmember Overstreet has championed efforts to improve access to essential services, including the introduction of legislation aimed at increasing access to fresh food options in underserved areas of Atlanta, especially Southwest Atlanta . 

Her advocacy has led to key investments in grocery stores and affordable housing developments, bringing much-needed amenities to Southwest Atlanta. In addition to working to enhance public safety in Atlanta, she continues to work tirelessly to ensure that "All Atlantans" have access to reliable transportation options. 

A dedicated Atlantan and graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School, Marci earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia State University. With over 30 years of service and leadership, her mission continues to focus on governance transparency, public safety, technology investment, and fostering an age-friendly, economically vibrant community.

Mr. Perrin Bostic

Candidate for Atlanta City Council, District 3

The Georgia Men For Democracy Now Political Action Committee is proud to endorse Mr. Perrin Bostic for Atlanta City Council, District 3.

Mr. Bostic is not only a committed public servant but also a valued member of our PAC, where he helped shape some of our earliest policy priorities.

Mr. Bostic’s dedication to service runs deep. He previously served as Director of Constituent Services for former Councilman Antonio Brown, where he worked hand-in-hand with District 3 residents to navigate city services and amplify community voices at City Hall. He later served as an Outreach Representative for U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, advocating for the needs of Georgians on the federal level.

Re-elect Andrea Boone

Atlanta City Council, District 10


The last four years have been a unique period for Atlanta and the world. Andrea has worked hard to make sure you and your families are safe and that have the resources the district needs.  Below are 12 key accomplishments from her first term.  There is more work to do and Andrea looks forward to doing it together.

  • Voted no on salary increases for councilmembers

  • Added $23 million to the budget for Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS Projects

  • Allocated nearly $14 million for improvements to the MLK, Jr Drive Corridor

  • Allocated $14 million in grant money (CDBG and ESG) to help Atlantans recovery financially from the COVID-19 pandemic

  • Passed a Resolution to assign more than $1.3 million to after school service centers

  • Allocated $175,000 to improve sidewalks

  • First Councilmember to Host COVID Testing and Vaccines

  • Worked to install security cameras across the district

  • Led the fight against blight and for strong code enforcement

  • Partnered with Solicitor General to conduct Expungement Seminar

  • Improved speed reduction in neighborhoods

  • Secured solar panels for the CT Marti Natatorium to reduce its carbon footprint


Eshe’ Collins

Atlanta City Council, Post 3 Citywide

An Atlanta native and civil rights attorney, Eshé Collins serves as the Post 3 At-Large representative on the Atlanta City Council. With deep roots in Atlanta and a commitment to public service, she has a proven track record of addressing systemic disparities and advocating for thriving communities. As the immediate past Chair and Vice Chair of the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) board, Eshé championed policies for equitable education, leading APS to its highest graduation rate, $130 million in staff pay increases, and $615 million in technology and infrastructure investments. Her leadership also secured a $5 million early childhood education initiative and a master plan repurposing vacant properties for affordable housing.


Aaron Johnson

Re-Elect Georgia State Representative Marvin Lim

Marvin Lim’s focus has been on six areas: education, healthcare, housing, public safety, workforce, and creating community capital. He has worked to introduce bills to reform the Quality Basic Education act funding in Georgia, expand nutrition education, expanded access to legal services, expanded workforce training that qualifies for state funds, and civilian safety initiatives. He has also worked to bring resources around these issues to his district, including programs arounds dementia respite care, local safety ambassadors, pro bono landlord-tenant legal aid, certifications for construction workers and healthcare workers, and programs and funding the 10 schools in his cluster to acquire resources.


Cobb County Commissioner Monique Sheffield

Won Re-Election on April 29, 2025

The Georgia Men For Democracy Now Political Action Committee proudly endorses Commissioner Monique Sheffield's re-election campaign. Monique Sheffield currently serves as Cobb County District 4 Commissioner, bringing nearly 25 years of residency in the district, residing in Austell, Powder Springs, and now Mableton. This diverse background provides her with a deep understanding of the unique character of each area.  

Before her election victory in 2020, Monique served as the District 4 representative on the Cobb County Board of Zoning Appeals. She is a graduate of Cobb 101: Citizens Government Academy, Cobb County Police Public Safety Academy, and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Cobb Class of 2023.  

Serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Commissioners during her first year in office, Economic Mobility Leadership committees with the National Association of Counties, and the Board of Directors for Cobb Travel & Tourism, underscores Sheffield's leadership and influence in economic development and shaping policy for Cobb County residents.

Looking ahead, Commissioner Sheffield remains committed to enhancing District 4 with parks, green space, smart development, and improving health and wellness. She remains steadfastly dedicated to empowering progress, nurturing community spirit, and transforming District 4.
